Unnamed Project

I began to photograph areas in Appalachia in 2023. The images seen here are all analog. I chose to shoot film because of the mechanics of the camera and the pure pleasure of loading the film. I was born and raised in the Tennessee Valley. Using the analog process allows me to feel closer to my subject in a way that the digital process doesn’t. The title and an artist statement will come later. I will be adding more work to this project over the next few months, and I look forward to sharing it with you.
